Life has been anything but kind, and everything that can go wrong has. At an age when life should be coming together and questions should start to be answered, Hope finds herself feeling very alone and very confused. As her life spirals out of control, she realizes she needs help. And she needs it quickly.
With the love and support of some very dear friends, Hope slowly begins to find her true self, and along the way, she meets someone. Someone who makes her feel like living to see another day might just be worth it.
But with happiness, comes pain. Pain from a past that simply won't be forgotten. Walking a dangerously fine line between joy and utter despair, Hope wonders if happy endings really do exist. And if they do, is there one waiting for her?
I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
This book was a tear-jerker in so many places. A thirtieth birthday celebration for Hope turns out to be a breakdown for Hope when she finally comes clean to her three closest friends on what is really going on in her life. I am only going to say this because I do not want to ruin any surprises is you plan on reading this book; Hope’s life is a complete mess from every aspect. Thank goodness for strong female friendships, this was one of the things that I loved about this book, the friendship and support between the women.
Hope is relocated in a very beautiful seaside community and is trying to pick up the pieces of her life, in walks Sam, a love interest for Hope who is also trying to recover from a tragedy. These two are meant for each other, another thing that I liked about the book, there is a sense of hopefulness to this story.
Without giving too much away about the plot, through a terrible awful tragedy Hope eventually finds what she wants in life and deserves. It is so hard not to go into detail about this book because there are so many parts that were so sad but written so well. I loved the strength of Hope’s character, I think this is what I liked most about the book, Hope never gave up on life no matter how hard it got for her.
